they look cool but some of the damage stats, like for the one long bow 15-28, i can get a scythe that dose up to 40 dmg with out being any were near the end game...

The fact that ArenaNet reskined the BMP weapons is somewhat ironic. (All the weapons shown so far are BMP reskinns)

They aren't. But even if they were, so what? Many of the Factions, Nightfall, and GWEN endgame greens were given the skins of old weapons. Like every endgame reward, it's really meant more for the casual gamers who appreciate something decent for all their effort, as opposed to the hardcore folks who drop 100k and a stack of ectos down on the rare skin of the month. This update wasn't meant to give everyone the most awesome weapon skin ever - it was meant to put a capstone on Prophecies, while revitalizing it at the same time in tune with the Birthday Celebration. What's the fuss?

The tissue on the handle, near the end, is the only thing that dyes. Kinda disappointed with how it dyes though... >_>.

well being a warrior I think the update was pretty good.

Hammer looks pretty cool since it soooo biiigg
sword is meh .. but still ok
axe is meh ... but still ok
I like the spear
shield is meh

mainly if you dont have much money these items are pretty damn good

A very small section of the handle was dyed blue.

Every weapon has a different max damage, 15-28 is max for bows, 9-41 is max for scythes.

if you got half a brain you could easily do it H&Hway in 15-20 minutes...
notice how all the last missions in all campaigns are very very easy? weird heh...

oh and Anet, good job on finally giving some love to your original campaign! and you gave all 8 professions weapons not just the original 6, even better!
oh and the best part, the gold crafters, that's really awsome!
